What Is This?

This coffee is... crazy.

You might think it doesn't even taste like coffee, but we think it's really something special.

What makes it so different?

It's a totally different species called Liberica.

What does that mean?

There are two major coffee species in the coffee market – Arabica and Robusta. This isn't either of them.

Global coffee market by species

That's not an academic difference... this thing really tastes wild.

We think it tastes botanical and herbaceous, and almost a little boozy. (Don't worry, there's no alcohol!) Think something along the lines of gin, or rum... maybe even an IPA if you try it over ice.

The notes on the bag are sweet stevia leaf, peach tea and papaya. We think those are the most prominent notes, but you may taste something different!

How do you brew it?

Even if it's a different species, it's still coffee! You can brew it however you like, though we may recommend trying it as a pourover. Perhaps try brewing it quite weak and aim for a more tea-like brew.
