Haitian Blue... selling out fast!
This is the last weekend to buy our Haitian Blue! Currently available in store only. A very first for us! We have never offered a coffee from Haiti before, and we are so excited about this offering. It's tasty, with a unique savory profile, balanced out by just a bit of sweet raisin notes. It's shade grown, which is rare in the region, and grown by a community that has prioritized sustainable practices.
We don't have much left, so buy it before it sells out!

Coffee Fest NY + More
We are expanding our presence into the trade show scene. Coffee Fest runs multiple shows a year, including one in New York every March at the Javits Center. As long time attendees, we decided to establish a more concrete presence this year.
For three days, we served pour overs and espresso to other professionals in the industry. In addition to catching up with old friends, we made some brand new connections with bakeries, coffee shops, and growers. Opportunities like this give us the chance to grow our business and build brand new partnerships.
This weekend, our team will be attending Coffee Expo in Houston, the biggest coffee trade show in North America. If you're attending, please let us know! We'd love to check in with you.

There’s a lot of music to listen to and not a lot of time to do it. Maybe you want to listen to new sounds, broaden your horizons, but you don’t know where to start. Hopefully the good people at Solid State can help you with that! Each month we’ll be choosing 10 albums that spoke to us - it’s a genre-less endeavor, if it speaks to us then it’s sent to you, simple as that. Lastly, the albums are in order of release date rather than personal preference. Our taste isn’t your taste, so we’ll let you decide what you love and how much you love it. Happy listening!

Arabica's Successor?
In 2019, a team of scientists rediscovered a species of coffee in Sierre Leone. This species, called Stenophylla, is important for two reasons. First, it is more heat resistant, making it more resilient to climate change. Second, it showed remarkable flavor similarities to Arabica, the current dominant player in the coffee world.
A new study showed that these flavor similarities aren't just subjective notes, the new species has a lot of chemical similarities to Arabica.
